• Replay them synchronously or independently
• Export a stereo MP3 file (left channel: floor; right channel: interpretation)

This enables structured performance review, trainer evaluation, student assessment, and professional portfolio development.

Integrated twin-track recording without additional hardware is not currently available in other CAI tools.

Consecutive Mode Designed for Real-World Practice

Recognizing that a significant proportion of legal and diplomatic work is conducted consecutively, TerpMate introduces a tablet-based workspace tailored specifically to consecutive interpreting.

The interface combines:

• Handwritten note-taking
• Synchronized speech recognition
• Full-text translation in scrolling view
• Intuitive pause/resume control to follow speaker turns

This design minimizes operational frictionand avoids competing for the interpreter’s attention during delivery.

Green Terp states that TerpMate’s free model is made possible by its offline-first architecture and low infrastructure overhead.
