How it works

As easy as inviting a colleague

No plugin to approve and no change to how you schedule meetings. GT Envoy uses the invite you are already sending.

  1. 01

    Get your GT Envoy address

We set up an address for your organization once, such as GTEnvoy-yourcompany@greenterp.live.

  2. 02

Add it to the meeting invite

From your calendar or your meeting platform, exactly like any other attendee.

  3. 03

    GT Envoy joins the meeting

It enters under its own name and shows a QR code on its video for the whole meeting. If there is a lobby, admit it like any guest.

  4. 04

    Everyone follows along

Participants scan the code and choose a language on their phone. Live captions, nothing to install.

Compatibility

Works where you already meet

GT Envoy joins meetings on each of these platforms, including meetings hosted by your clients and partners when their settings allow guests.

Why GT Envoy

More than a caption bot

Visible by design

GT Envoy joins under its own name, with its QR code and an AI speech translation label on screen the whole time. Everyone in the meeting knows AI is present.

A backup audio path for hybrid events

When a hybrid event also runs in an online meeting, GT Envoy's meeting audio can serve as a second source for GT Floor, so a dropped venue feed doesn't have to stop the captions.

Interpreters in the same meeting

When a meeting needs more than AI, Green Terp's professional interpreters join the same platforms through GT Booth.

Your names and terms

The names and terms you prepare for Green Terp AI apply to your meetings too, and the list improves with every use.

40+ languages, one QR code

Each participant picks their own language from the same code, so one GT Envoy serves a multilingual meeting.

Made for recurring meetings

Regional team calls, all-hands and training series: invite the same address every time. Ask us about plans for regular use.

Right tool for the meeting

Where GT Envoy fits, and where it doesn't

The same honesty rule as all Green Terp AI: we tell you when a meeting needs interpreters.

A good fit

  • Recurring cross-border team meetings
  • Town halls and all-hands
  • Webinars, training and briefings
  • Customer and partner updates
  • Hybrid events already running in an online meeting

Use interpreters instead

  • Negotiations and deal discussions
  • Board, legal and regulatory meetings
  • Medical or HR matters
  • Anything confidential or under NDA
  • Q&A where exact wording matters

FAQ

GT Envoy questions, answered

What is GT Envoy?

GT Envoy is a meeting assistant from Green Terp that brings live AI speech translation into Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex and Google Meet meetings. You invite it by email like any attendee. It joins with a QR code on its video tile for the whole meeting, and participants scan it to follow live captions in their own language on their phones. It is part of Green Terp AI.

Which meeting platforms does GT Envoy work with?

Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex and Google Meet.

How do I invite GT Envoy?

Add your organization's GT Envoy address, such as GTEnvoy-yourcompany@greenterp.live, to the meeting invite, the same way you invite a colleague. We set up the address for you once.

How do participants get the translation?

They scan the QR code on GT Envoy's video tile and choose a language in their phone's browser. Captions appear live, and there is nothing to install.

Does the host need to admit GT Envoy?

If your meeting uses a lobby or waiting room, admit GT Envoy like any external guest. Otherwise it joins on its own at the meeting time.

Can GT Envoy join meetings hosted by another organization?

Yes, if the host's settings allow external guests. If they don't, ask the host to admit GT Envoy or to allow guests for that meeting.

Will everyone know that AI is in the meeting?

Yes. GT Envoy joins under its own name and shows its QR code with an AI speech translation label for the whole meeting. It never joins hidden.

Does GT Envoy record our meeting?

No. GT Envoy processes the meeting audio live to produce captions and does not make a recording of the meeting. Your content is never used to train AI models.

Is GT Envoy suitable for confidential meetings?

No. For negotiations, board, legal or medical meetings and anything confidential, use professional interpreters, who are bound by strict confidentiality. Green Terp's interpreters can join the same platforms through GT Booth.

Can GT Envoy help at hybrid events?

Yes. When a hybrid event is also running in an online meeting, GT Envoy's meeting audio can serve as a backup source for GT Floor, the link that brings venue audio into Green Terp. If the venue feed drops, the captions can continue.

How is GT Envoy priced?

Like other Green Terp AI services, by hours and languages, with plans available for regular meetings. Contact us for a quote.

FAQ

GT Captions questions, answered

What is GT Captions?

GT Captions is a Windows application from Green Terp that shows live AI captions and translated subtitles on a transparent layer over whatever is on a full-screen display: PowerPoint slides, videos, PDFs, web pages or any other application. It can carry a sponsor's logo, takes audio from several sources including the computer's own sound, and is part of Green Terp AI.

Which applications can it show subtitles over?

Any application on the screen it runs on, including PowerPoint, video players, PDF viewers and web browsers, because the subtitles sit on their own transparent layer on top.

Do we need a video switcher, keyer or caption computer?

No. GT Captions runs on the computer that drives the screen, so subtitles need no extra switcher, keyer or separate caption computer. You only need an audio feed into that computer.

Can we show a sponsor's logo with the subtitles?

Yes. You can place a sponsor or event logo on the subtitle overlay, so it stays on screen with every caption.

Can it take audio from more than one source?

Yes. GT Captions can use several audio inputs in one session, such as the mixer feed, a lectern microphone and a backup microphone.

Can it subtitle a video playing on the computer?

Yes. GT Captions can take the computer's own sound as an input, so it can subtitle a video playing on the presentation PC, or a remote speaker coming through a meeting app on it, without a virtual audio cable.

PowerPoint already has live subtitles. Why use GT Captions?

PowerPoint's built-in subtitles work inside a PowerPoint slide show. GT Captions works over any application, including videos and documents, takes audio from several sources including the computer's own sound, carries your sponsor's logo, and runs on Green Terp AI with your prepared names and terms.

Is GT Captions available for Mac?

Not at the moment. GT Captions runs on Windows 10 and 11. If your presentations run from a Mac, talk to us about the options for your event.

Are the subtitles labeled as AI?

Yes. An "AI captions" label is shown on the overlay, as on every Green Terp AI caption view, so the audience knows the text is machine-generated.

Which languages are available?

The same 40+ languages as Green Terp AI, as captions in the speaker's language or as translated subtitles. Quality varies by language pair, so we check your languages before the event.

Do we need an AV company to run it?

No. After a training session, your own team can run GT Captions. AV and production companies use it too: it lets them offer multilingual subtitles without new hardware.

How is GT Captions priced?

GT Captions runs on Green Terp AI, which is priced per event by hours and languages, with no subscription required. Contact us for a quote that covers your event and your team's training.
